Self-employed individuals (including Realtors, Brokers, and Real Estate Professionals) must report the cost of their qualifying work-related education and /or continuing professional education on the appropriate form used to report business income and expenses (generally Schedule C, C-EZ, or F). If the education expenses include expenses for a car or truck, travel, or meals, the self-employed individual reports those expenses the same way he or she reports other business expenses for those items.
